For our client, Bio4pack GmbH, a German based subsidiary of TIPA Compostable Packaging, we are looking for a business development leader. Bio4Pack is a leading company in the development and manufacturing of sustainable packaging solutions for consumer products and consumables, that has minimal impact on the environment and that minimises the use of fossil fuels. Bio4 Pack develops and sells custom-made packaging concepts for B2B customers active in the foodprocessing industry. Bio4pack’s head office is located in Germany. 

Bio4pack and Tipa are in final stages of a strategic acquisition of a local packaging company to develop new business opportunities. For that matter, we are looking for an experienced business development manager and a commercial entrepreneur, who will further develop this acquisition within the packaging solutions market. The role will be an individual contributors’ role at first, but once opportunities grow, the team will grow respectively. 

(New) Business development manager (m/f)  

This Position:
In this position, the business develop manager is responsible for the business development and sales of new packaging solutions. He/she will have the focus on continuing existing business and will be dedicated to search for new business opportunities and new customers. The company’s strategy is rapidly evolving internationally, using the worldwide business contacts of TIPA, therefore making this position and its role an exciting and challenging one. 

Tasks and responsibilities:
- responsible for the sales and margin results of the newly acquired business venture.  
- develop and execute sales plans for existing customers and new accounts for relevant packaging solutions.
- develop and maintain long-term relationships with your customers.
- committed to locally budgeted resources.
- signal market trends and opportunities as an input for new business activities.
- travel will amount to a minimum of 30-50% of the time.
- participate in international trade fairs. 

Position requirements:
- minimum of 5-10 years of sales/account management or business development
   experience in the packaging market (packaging materials, packaging machinery or paper) .
- commercial b2b management experience with international key account sales.
- excellent knowledge of English.
- knowledge of any other language (e.g. German) is appreciated.
- preferably, a bachelor degree with a commercial background education.

the remuneration package is in line with the requirements for this position, including bonus andpersonal training opportunities.
- the Business development manager position reports to the managing director of Bio4pack in Germany.
- this position is based in Nordhorn (D) but the use of a home office is required.
