Regional Sales Manager West Coast USA / VDB Search USA.

This is an excellent opportunity for a high achiever who will manage the assigned Sales Territory and increase Schmitz Foams client base and market share in the USA. The successful candidate will be a strategic Sales Manager with at least 5 years of proven sales experience in a similar industry in addition to very strong management, communication, and networking skills. Candidates who have professional /leadership/management experience working in high school, collegiate and/or professional athletics will also be considered. Schmitz Foam’s products are part of the fast-growing sports construction industry. Understanding K-12, higher education and municipal project delivery will be a key performance indicator for the successful candidate.
In the role of Regional Sales Manager, you will be end responsible for overall sales and the sales strategy in your Region, and you will play a key role in the company’s further expansion in the USA. This role works closely together, and reports directly to the Vice President Sales, North America.

Schmitz Foam Products is a subsidiary of Schmitz Holding BV in the Netherlands. The company is the global market leader in engineered prebuilt shock pads for artificial sport pitches, selling their products to 60 countries. Given the growth in the various regions and in particular in the USA, Schmitz has a newly built, state of the art production facility in Coldwater, Michigan.

Responsibilities
• Develop and implement business development and strategic sales plans to accomplish Schmitz Foams products sales goals and targets.
• Identify new sales channels, establish rapport with key decision-makers.
• Prepare and monitor annual sales budget.
• Support and drive new business growth in targeted market sectors and territories.
• Promote and sell Schmitz Foam products to current and potential customers.
• Assess industry and market trends as well as customer requirements to set national strategies.
• Deliver sales presentations to current and potential customers and key decision-makers.
• Provide all required information for projects to be quoted.
• Follow-up on quotations generates sales reports regularly.
• Participate in trade shows.

Profile
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of related industry experience in a sales position.
• Must have a solid and well-established network in relevant industry.
• Affinity with sports industry; either worked as a coach, administrator or facilities manager, former college or professional athlete.
• General knowledge of K-12, higher ed, and government B2B sales.
• Experience in K-12, higher ed, municipal construction project delivery
• Motivator and team player, strategic thinker.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines and deliverables for multiple tasks, well-developed project management skills.
• Analytical with a problem-solving attitude.
• Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills.
• Strong communication and team management skills.
• Relationship builder with excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel 70%+.

Compensation
The company offers a competitive and attractive compensation package; a base salary of 85K to 95K with commission and excellent working conditions, including health benefits (medical, vision, dental).
