Key Account Manager North America
VDB Search is looking is looking for a Key Account Manager in the Atlanta area. Rollepaal is a subsidiary of Hydratec Industries NV, a global leader in pipe extrusion equipment for PVC, PO, multilayer, and PVC-O production, serving key pipe producers in 70 countries. Known for its quality and focus on sustainability, Rollepaal's equipment helps manufacturers reduce scrap and control production quality, leading to material savings. With a strong customer base, the company is seeking a strategic, solution-oriented Key Account Manager for North America to drive growth. This role, reports to the Commercial Director in the Netherlands and requires close collaboration with global stakeholders and leadership.
Responsibilities and tasks:
• Achieve the sales targets in the region and continuously aim for building and maintaining strategic partnerships with the customers.
• Manage development and growth of strategic (inter)national accounts.
• Create and monetize business opportunities by value based and consultative selling.
• Participate in (inter)national network events, conferences and trade shows.
• Prepare regional sales and key accounts plans.
• Manage the sales funnel proactively.
• Work in close collaboration with the Marketing Department. Monitor market developments and share relevant information with the internal organization.
• Manage the calculation and proposal process and transfer enquiries into commercial quotations.
• Negotiate independently with the customer within the set targets.
• Keep the CRM system updated.
• Travel regularly to visit existing customers and prospects.
• Proactively contributes to continuous improvement of sales processes and tools.
Skills and requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree (Engineering Graduate with professional qualifications in Sales and Marketing).
• Minimum of 5-10 years’ relevant experience in selling capital goods in an international technical sales environment.
• Sound knowledge of contracts (understanding of commercial and logistical T&C’s), business economics and financials.
• Intrinsic drive and ability to perform value added/ consultative selling, to understand the customer's technical and business challenges.
• Commercial decisiveness, driven, competent negotiator (drive to increase margin) and proactive.
• Interlocutor at multiple levels at the customer, including the management-/ C-level.
• Excellent social and communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and at the same time comfortable with a structural, data driven approach.
• Command of English and (one or more) languages from the relevant region(s).
• Extensive experience of project-based working / investment projects, including risk analysis.
